Away from my desk - token deployment

All practices should have received Away From My Desk tokens. The tokens will replace the remote log in username and password solution as this was only a temporary measure.

Please distribute tokens to users (already with a username and password), after the 6th May this solution will cease, with tokens being the primary method to log in using Away From My Desk.

Data protection impact assessment

The Caldicott Guardian or a Senior Partner for each practice is asked to complete the below form and return to [email protected]. This is to acknowledge the potential risks which can only be mitigated by practice level processes. 

We have had confirmation from the DPO that you may continue to use the service whilst we await this form.

Recording MS Teams meetings

MS Teams has the functionality to allow users to record meetings. Please be aware that if you record meetings in MS Teams these are all stored on the cloud and accessible through Stream.

Please be warned that by selecting ‘Allow everyone in your company to view this video’ you will be providing access to everybody on NHSmail, not just your local organisation.

It is recommended that you gain consent from individuals before sharing recordings. There is more detailed guidance available on the NHS.net support site.

Zoom

We would like to remind all users that due to ongoing cyber security concerns users must not access Zoom on work devices. Users must use the approved products such as MS Teams for video conferencing.
