Peer Mentoring for GPs

GP-S is a free peer mentoring and coaching service for GPs which is due to launch in Essex in June 2021.

The service offers all GPs in Essex the opportunity to access mentoring training, connect to GP clients and access reimbursement for their mentorship sessions.

We are now in a position to recruit mentors to support local GPs to build resilience and develop in their personal and professional lives. We have commissioned GP-S to deliver this service in Essex.

All interested GPs chosen will be asked to complete a 2 day mentor training and assessment course – this is a virtual interactive course and we have two cohorts of training available.

1. 6^th May and 12^th May – 8.45am-5.15pm
2. 26^th May and 27^th May – 8.45am-5.15pm

You will need to be able to attend both dates to be eligible.

What do GP-S mentors receive? 

Mentors are able to access two aspects of this scheme:

a) Mentorship training and continued support
b) Self employed role as a mentor with the ability to support colleagues locally
