Paediatric Emergency Departments are open

If you think children are unwell and need assessment by the paediatric teams at hospital please continue to refer children and young people following high flow pathways in the usual way. If you are not sure you can also call and speak with on-call paediatric consultants for advice and guidance.

Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital

The direct phone extension to consultant at BTUH is 7273.

The Paediatric registrar can be contacted on extension 7250 for referrals to Paediatric at any time (24 hours). The Paediatric Assessment referral should be made to paediatric Registrar on extension 7250
