Southend sexual health services
The Service is pleased to confirm the reintroduction of a wide range of integrated sexual health services from Wednesday 15 July 2020.
With the ongoing risk of COVID-19 remaining, the service has introduced changes to ensure safety for service users, staff and the wider public, aiming to reduce face to face contact wherever possible, whilst maintaining a high level of service.
The service Intelligence Centre will continue as the single point of access and will complete an initial triage process with all people seeking support. Regardless of the reason for self- referral all people seeking support will be offered a ‘virtual clinical appointment’ (either on the phone or via video conference) with a clinician who will complete a full clinical assessment.
Where a person is triaged as urgent, vulnerable or at risk, an urgent call back will be arranged as a priority.

The service Intelligence Centre is open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on a Saturday.
It can be contacted by telephone on 0300 003 2693 or by email [email protected].
